Chile Boss Juan Antonio Pizzi Reportedly Joins List of Illustrious Coaches on Barcelona Shorlist

Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi has joined the names on Barcelona's shortlist as they look for a replacement for Luis Enrique, Sport have reported.
Athletic Bilbao's Ernesto Valverde and Barcelona assistant Juan Carlos Unzue have been the names most regularly linked with the soon-to-be vacant managerial post at the club.
Barcelona reportedly like the football that Pizzi has played with Chile, as well as his relationship with the South American players in the team. The 48-year-old also has history with Barcelona having played for them, and knows sporting director Robert Fernandez.
Assistant coach Unzue, meanwhile, was considered favourite to make the step up when Enrique departs after the historic Champions League comeback against PSG, but the quarter-final exit against Juventus has left the Barcelona hierarchy with doubts.
Bilbao coach Valverde has proven himself in La Liga, and has the level of experience Barcelona require in their replacement for Enrique. His future is not yet clear, however, although he is believed to be keen on a move to the Nou Camp.
Valverde announced that he will leave Bilbao three weeks ago after a spell of four seasons with the Basque club, but has not yet ruled out a year-long break or a move to the Premier League.
It seems that Pizzi, Unzue and Valverde have emerged as the three main contenders for the job as the end of the season approaches.
