Real Madrid to End Non-Agression Pact as Atletico Look to Sell Theo Hernandez to Barca on the Cheap [ad_1]

Real Madrid and Aletico Madrid are engaged in a transfer battle over the future of left-back Theo Hernandez, Cadenaser have reported.

Los Blancos had reportedly agreed a deal with the 19-year-old to sign him this summer when he returns from a loan spell with Alaves.

Atletico, however, are believed to be determined to stop the sale of one of their top young players to their city rivals, and are now willing to sell him for less money to Barcelona, who are also interested in the player.

Real Madrid were set to match Hernadez's buyout clause of £20m, but Barcelona have reportedly offered Atletico Jordi Alba in a potential exchange deal.

Hernandez himself is also considered to be concerned that a move to Atletico's rivals could destroy his reputation with the club's supporters.

Atletico have a non-aggression pact with Real Madrid which, in the past, has led to the immediate rejection of bids for the likes of Sergio Aguero, Diego Forlan, Radamel Falcao and Jose Maria Gimenez.

Liverpool are also reportedly interested in Hernandez, with Jurgen Klopp searching for a new left-back to replace Alberto Moreno.

Hernandez has performed consistently for Alaves this season, making 30 La Liga appearances for the tenth placed side.
