​It is no secret that when it comes to club football, Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique are fierce rivals. While Ramos is the darling of Real Madrid fans, Pique is the defensive rock to all Barcelona supporters and is seen as a Catalan hero.

The pair have been known to clash on and off the pitch in recent times when it comes to the rivalry between their respective clubs, although both players have a mutual respect and friendship when they meet up for the Spanish national side.

Pique made an appearance at the Madrid Open tennis tournament this week, and he wasn't warmly received as you can see in the video below:

Prior to his side's second leg clash with Atletico Madrid, Ramos was asked about the incident at the Madrid Open, he said to Per Sport (via GIVEMESPORT): "What can I say to you?

"If I go to Barcelona then the same [would] happen to me. I'm not going to change people."

As things stand, it looks like it's going to a far better campaign for Madrid than Barcelona, what with a Champions League final to look forward to, not to mention the strong possibility of a La Liga title to go with it.

Meanwhile, Barcelona will have to console themselves with a Copa del Rey final, against Alaves.
